Hi, I'm Shirley. I'm a Technical Designer and Game Developer working in Redwood Shores, California. Since graduating from Carnegie Mellon in 2015, I have been working in the Games Industry, shipping titles from independent games to The Sims 4, which I have been working on at Electronic Arts since 2016.
I spent my undergrad at The University of Virginia studying different research topics in computer science and exploring 3D pipelines. I loved what I could do with technology, and wanted to apply it to a creative field.
In 2013, I went to Carnegie Mellon University to obtain a Masters Degree in Entertainment Technology. There, I was introduced to all types of new platforms and emerging tech, including AR, VR and the Unity Game Engine, all of which I developed projects for, from the design stage to player reader production. It was then that I started designing, writing and implementing for interactive experiences.
In my free time, I like to read, write and play games.
